Pêle-mêle is Valence’s first album, a concentrate of the best of Vincent Dufour’s writing and musical composition. While the music is tinged with the enjoyable 70s, dreamy tunes, and rich instrumentation, his lyrics are well anchored in their time at the crossroads of love, vulnerability and emancipation. Through the eleven solar pieces that make up this opus, you can’t help but dance, sing, and come back to it, again and again.
